Plant Health Care
ISA-certified diagnosis and treatment for trees showing signs of stress, disease, or decline. We find the real problem — then fix it.
Our Approach
Diagnosis before treatment. Always.
The wrong treatment does nothing — or makes things worse. Before TG-TreeCare recommends anything, Tyler assesses the actual cause of decline. That's what ISA certification is for.
Diagnosis Before Treatment
Many tree problems are misidentified. Our ISA-certified arborists assess disease, pest pressure, soil conditions, and environmental stress before recommending any treatment.
We Treat the Root Cause
Surface symptoms point to deeper issues. We address what's actually causing decline — not just spray something on the leaves and call it done.
Preserve Trees Worth Saving
Mature trees add thousands of dollars in property value. When a tree can be saved, TG-TreeCare will tell you honestly — and show you exactly how.
Written Treatment Plans
You get a clear written summary of findings and recommended treatment. No guesswork, no vague advice — a real plan you can review and approve.
Know the Signs
When should you call?
Trees communicate stress — you just have to know what to look for. If you're seeing any of these symptoms, don't wait for the next season to see if it improves on its own.
What We Treat
Common threats in Northeast Ohio
Ohio's climate and tree population make it a hotspot for several serious pests and diseases. Here's what TG-TreeCare diagnoses and treats most frequently.
Insect Pests
Northeast Ohio has some of the most destructive tree pests in the country. Emerald Ash Borer alone has killed hundreds of millions of ash trees across the region. Early identification and treatment makes the difference between saving a tree and losing it.
Fungal Diseases
Ohio's wet springs create ideal conditions for fungal diseases. Many are manageable when caught early — left untreated, they spread through the canopy and weaken structural integrity over time.
Soil & Nutrient Issues
Compacted soil, poor drainage, and nutrient deficiencies cause slow decline that's easy to miss until the tree is seriously stressed. Iron chlorosis, for example, is common in Ohio's high-pH soils and causes yellowing that looks like disease.
Environmental Stress
Construction damage, drought stress, salt injury from winter road treatment, and improper planting depth are among the most common — and most overlooked — causes of tree decline in residential areas.

Common Questions
Plant Health Care FAQs
My tree leaves look yellow or brown — is it dying?
Not necessarily. Discoloration is a symptom, not a diagnosis. It could be a nutrient deficiency, pest, disease, or soil issue. An on-site assessment is the only honest answer.
How do I know if a tree can be saved?
Only an on-site assessment can tell you. TG-TreeCare will give you a straight answer — if removal is the better call, we'll say so.
Do you treat for Emerald Ash Borer?
Yes. EAB treatment can be effective when caught early enough. If you have ash trees, don't wait — call Tyler to assess them.
What does a plant health care visit involve?
Tyler visits, inspects the tree and soil, and gives you a written summary of findings and treatment options. You decide how to proceed — no pressure.
Can sick trees infect healthy ones nearby?
Yes — Oak Wilt and Dutch Elm Disease spread through root grafts and insect vectors. Identifying and treating affected trees quickly limits spread to healthy ones.
Is treatment guaranteed to work?
No responsible arborist promises guaranteed outcomes — tree health depends on many variables. We'll be honest about what's realistic before any treatment begins.
