TG-TreeCare is a family-run tree care company in Kent, Ohio, built on a simple idea: homeowners in Northeast Ohio deserve tree care backed by real plant science, not just a truck and a chainsaw.
How it started
Science behind the recommendation. Honesty behind the estimate.
Tyler Griffith founded TG-TreeCare in August 2022 after more than 15 years of hands-on tree work. He holds a B.S. in Botany and an M.S. in Environmental Sciences from Oregon State University, and he’s an ISA Certified Arborist and a licensed Ohio pesticide applicator.
That training shapes how we read a tree: what’s stressing it, what it can recover from and what it can’t. It’s why our estimates start with a diagnosis rather than a price for whatever you asked us to cut, and why you’ll sometimes hear an answer you didn’t expect.
We’re family-run and based in Kent. The office, the crew and the equipment are our own, so when you call you reach our people, and when the work is scheduled our own crew does it.

How we work

Diagnose before we cut.
Every estimate starts with why the tree looks the way it does. Pruning, treatment and removal are answers to a diagnosis, not items on a menu.
“Leave it” is a real answer.
If the best thing for a tree is to do nothing yet, that’s what we’ll tell you, along with what to watch for and when to call.
Prices in writing, before work starts.
Estimates are free, done in person and put in writing, so you know exactly what you’re agreeing to and what it costs.
Our crew, never subcontracted.
The people on your property work for TG-TreeCare, are covered by our insurance and work to our standards.
A light footprint.
The right products in the right amounts, and equipment paths planned to protect lawns, beds, roots and soil.
We explain the price.
Cost depends on size, access and what’s underneath the tree. We’ll show you what drives yours, and whether there’s a less expensive way to get you safe.
What to expect
From the first call to the last rake.
The same five steps whether it’s one dead limb or a full property, so you always know what happens next.

Our office is open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week, and emergencies are answered 24/7, including nights, weekends and holidays.
We walk the property with you.
We look at the trees you called about, point out anything else worth knowing, and explain what we see in plain language.
You get a written estimate.
Free, specific and in writing. Take your time. Nobody will pressure you to decide on the spot.
Our crew does the work.
Scheduled with you ahead of time, fully insured, and finished with a full cleanup of the work area.
We stay reachable.
